Hello,
My name is Dr. Nicole Berman. I am a pediatrician, lactation consultant, and mom focusing on helping families with breastfeeding & lactation and family-centered pediatric lifestyle medicine.
I have always been drawn to health and wellness--it is what inspired me to become a doctor. The more I have studied about how our daily choices affect our health, the more passionate I have become.
During medical school I learned about the numerous benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby. A year later, I gave birth to my first child. Breastfeeding was the hardest part of having a newborn. Our first month was punctuated by latch issues, oversupply, and multiple bouts of mastitis. Thankfully, I was able to overcome our initial problems and meet my breastfeeding goals. Breastfeeding was the hardest part of having a newborn--and the most rewarding. With this new experience, I became inspired to help others walk that challenging, first path of parenthood.

Beyond breastfeeding, I have seen parents struggle with raising healthy children. While it is one thing to say: eat healthy, get enough sleep, exercise, reduce your stress, and spend time off screens and outdoors; it is much more challenging putting this advice into practice, and a whole different story when this involves your child. I utilize an evidence-based approach and work together with you and your child to make changes that are attainable and actionable.
I became a board-certified pediatrician in 2018 and a lactation consultant (IBCLC) in 2022. And, I am a mom to three incredible children. I opened this lactation and lifestyle practice to support parents on their journey of raising healthy children, however that may look for each family, utilizing my expertise as pediatrician, IBCLC, and mom. Whether that is correcting a painful latch or helping your child eat more fruits and veggies or spending more time outdoors, I am passionate about walking beside you on this path and empowering you to actualize your family's health.
Warmly,
Dr. Nicole Berman
