Hello, I am Dr. Berman, a pediatrician and IBCLC providing physician-level breastfeeding support and lactation care for families in Houston. I provide my patients with in-home evaluations and individualized, evidence-based plans that align with their goals. I know personally both how challenging and rewarding breastfeeding can be; and I am passionate about helping families during this journey.

a thorough history about you and your baby's current feeding situation
a focused physical exam, including an oral exam of your baby and a relevant breast exam
pre- and post-feed weights on your baby to get an estimate of how much your baby is able to transfer at the breast
an observed feed during which I will help with latch and positioning as needed. This may include a supplemental feed and/or a pumping session if relevant.

I provide phone and text support for 3 days following your appointment to help you implement your care plan and answer questions about the issues discussed during your visit.
If you would like an appointment outside of the times available online, please reach out to me directly. I would be happy to find a time that works for you.
Please note: for virtual visits scheduled online, I may confer with you to determine that a virtual visit is appropriate for your particular concern.
For home visits, services are available within a 10-mile radius of S. Braeswood Blvd & S. Loop W, Houston, TX 77096. If you are located beyond this area, please contact me to discuss availability and travel fees.
For virtual visits, services are available throughout Texas, with the exception of the following counties: Cameron, Hidalgo, Kinney, Maverick, Starr, Val Verde, Webb, Willacy, and Zapata.
